UNDP Kenya would like to recruit a Driver/ Clerk on behalf of United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR)
Background
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Finance/Administrative Associate, the Driver/Clerk contributes to the effective and efficient operation of the Support to the UNISDR Africa Office by assisting in administrative work, driving and managing the issues relating to vehicle maintenance. The Driver/Clerk applies the client-oriented approach consistent with UNISDR rules and regulations.
The Driver/Clerk works in close collaboration with the Finance/Administrative Associate and other UNISDR Africa Office team members for effective achievement of results, anticipating and advising on the resolution of administrative issues and smooth operation of the UNISDR Africa Office. The incumbent will ensure the provision of administrative and logistical support; office maintenance and assets management.
The incumbent is expected to exercise full compliance with UN programming, financial, procurement and administrative rules, regulations, policies and strategies, as well as contribution to an effective internal control systems.
Qualifications
  • KCSE certificate and valid driver‟s license.
Experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
Language Requirements
  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Swahili would be an advantage.
