NGO Security Program Accountant and Security Analyst Job Vacancies

The NGO Security Program, Nairobi Office, is recruiting for the following positions:

Finance Assistant/Accountant

Commencement: Immediate
Contract: 1 Year renewable

Purpose of the position:

This position of high dependability will function as the Finance Assistant/Accountant. The Key responsibilities of this position will be to carry out all bank / cash transactions, booking payments, cash book tracking and general administration.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of Secondary school
  • Qualifications in accounting i.e. CPA, ACCA
  • Degree qualification in accounting, finance or related field is desirable but not mandatory.
Experience:
  • 1 year experience in an accountancy role.
  • 1 year of experience in handling NGO Finances (will be considered an added advantage)
Security Analyst and Safety Coordinator

Commencement: Immediate
Contract: 1 Year Renewable

Purpose of the position:

The Security Analyst and Safety Coordinator a key person who will be responsible for managing the Field Operation Specialist team.

The purpose of this position is to: provide geopolitical analysis and write high quality security report based on data provided by the Field Operation Specialists team targeting an audience of NGOs; support NGOs during crisis management.

The ability to interact with all parties while maintaining and emphasizing a position of principled political neutrality and operational independence is paramount.

Qualification:
  • Bachelor in Journalism, Political Sciences, History, Anthropology or any other equivalent diploma
Experience:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in positions requiring information sourcing, processing, analysis and reporting.
  • Minimum 2 years of Somalia experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in security (NGO or government institutions) at a management level
  • Experience in critical incident management.
