Irrigation Machinery Operator / Plumber Job Vacancy in Kenya

Our client is a young plant growing company which specializes in supplying high-quality plant cuttings to customers throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. With a total area of twenty seven hectares and a mother-stock of 1.3 million plants and founded over ten years ago, our client is indeed one of the leading companies in the business of bedding and balcony plants.

Key Responsibilities

• Routine plumbing duties for irrigated agriculture (drip systems) and domestic systems.
• Water pumps’ maintenance, service and repair.
• Input of data into of computerized irrigation system and scheduling maintenance of equipment.
• Fault detection and diagnosis for water and irrigation machinery & systems.
• Supervision of departmental staff.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Certificate in Plumbing and water pumps operation
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in plumping, computerized irrigation machines operation, water-pumps/motor fitting & maintenance, drip irrigation systems, etc.
• Knowledge of fertilizer application requirements for commercial crop farming.
• Operational Knowledge of computerized irrigation systems.
• Pro-active with ability to detect and solve machinery problems.
• Good organization with ability to maintain scheduled service of irrigation equipment.
